Press Conference Held Ahead of European Researchers’ Night 2026

During the press conference, Assoc. Prof. Katarina Gerometta, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Neven Iveša, PhD, and Ivona Peternel, PhD, BSc Econ., presented this year’s Researchers’ Night and the diverse programme awaiting visitors. Numerous workshops, quizzes, demonstrations and other interactive activities were introduced, all designed to bring science and the work of researchers closer to people of all ages in an engaging and accessible way.

Assoc. Prof. Katarina Gerometta, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Neven Iveša, PhD, presented the scientific programme and some of the activities visitors will have the opportunity to experience during Researchers’ Night. Ivona Peternel, PhD, Head of the Office for Partnership and Projects, presented the administrative and organisational aspects of the Blue Connect 3.0 project.

On this occasion, she invited all citizens, young and old, to join European Researchers’ Night on 25 September from 5:00 p.m., meet researchers and discover the exciting and entertaining side of science through workshops, quizzes and many other activities.

The invitation was also extended in Italian, with the aim of reaching and welcoming Pula’s Italian community and highlighting that Researchers’ Night is an inclusive event open to everyone.
