Biography

Siniša Miličić was born in 1984 in Zagreb, and in 2006 he graduated in theoretical mathematics at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science. In 2013 he received his PhD in mathematics as part of the joint doctoral programme in mathematics at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.

As a mathematician, he is scientifically engaged in dynamical systems theoryand fractal dimensions. In addition, he works on applying mathematical knowledge in informatics and computing, especially in the field of data science. From 2007 to 2017 he worked at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb as a research assistant at Department of Applied Mathematics, and since 2017 as asistant professor at the Faculty of Informatics in Pula.

He teaches mathematical topics - from introductory mathematics (Mathematics 1 - for informatics and computer science), through advanced mathematics and computer (Functional programming), methodological (Methodology of teaching mathematics 1-3), to applied mathematics and statistics (Statistics). He actively participates in the development of courses, and the design of studies and study programs.

Since 2021 he is also the vice-dean for education and student affairs of the Faculty of Informatics.
